OUR STORY
Pure Joy • Pure Love
While browsing through a magazine, Chrysa came across an article on alpacas. Learning they are sustainable to our earth, produce hypo-allergenic fleece, and are just plain adorable, Chrysa became, well, just a little bit obsessed.
Later, while visiting friends in Temecula, California, Chrysa booked a visit to a local alpaca ranch where she fell madly in love with them. Their cute faces, big eyes and long eyelashes were heart melting. Her face hurt from smiling non-stop for hours. The farm guide was kind enough to welcome Chrysa back the next day to join her in daily ranch duties. Her smile never faded. Even while scooping alpaca poop. The alpaca obsession had begun.
Two years later, still obsessed with alpacas, Chris gave the ultimate Christmas present - a check for a live alpaca! It is still unclear if Chris knew at that time that alpacas are pack animals so you have to have at least three. A month later, in near disbelief, Chrysa and Chris had purchased three beautiful alpacas from a local breeder.
Still living in a townhome in New Brighton, MN, they boarded the alpacas and began looking for a home with land to start the ranch. Five months later, they found their forever home in Nowthen, Mn. and Daisy's Alpaca Ranch was born!
The ranch is named after Chrysa's late mother, Daisy, who always believed Chrysa could accomplish anything she set her mind to.
Daisy's Alpaca Ranch now has five alpacas with one on the way. Our dream is to welcome visitors, particularly anyone seeking joy, healing, or extra smiles to make their day.
Book a visit to experience the joy of Daisy's Alpacas where you can also purchase alpaca products.
If you can't make it to Nowthen, MN, you can still purchase alpaca products here and we'll send you alpaca smiles virtually.

Staying Cool in the Summer
Alpacas adapt well to Minnesota winters but are less tolerant of hot weather.
For funsies, they like to get sprayed with the hose or dip their toes in their alpaca pool.
